One of the most awesome curling irons ever! Let's talk about hardware features...It has a cool kick-stand that prevents the hot iron from touching anything; comes in handy if your counter is usually full of flammables. The rubber grip makes for easy handling, and the cord is long, so it gives you extra room. It has 20 heat settings, and even at the hottest; it heats up in only 60 seconds! The giant 1 1/2" barrel works perfectly for big, thick curls on big, thick hair. But it also works well for straightening; because the barrel is so big, the "straight" is actually full and bouncy, flat and flimsy.
Only one draw back; if you use product in your hair, the iron needs cleaning or it will get a white build up, and pieces of it will flake off in your hair. It's very sturdy though and lasted me for years before I needed to replace it. It usually runs between $12-$20. Oh, and did I mention...it has automatic shut off!
