Quality Inn - Hoffman Estates, IL ⑦
I was pleasantly surprised at the “quality” of Quality Inn; I stayed at the Hoffman Estates, IL location, and though there were some minor issues, it was overall a nice experience.
The rooms were very clean and fairly spacious with plenty of storage space. I appreciated the small dining table, chest of drawers, and the mini-fridge and microwave that came standard with our room. There was a nice sized, flat screen television, and the beds were extremely comfortable! Our room didn’t smell like smoke or animals, which we greatly appreciated because that's not the case with other hotels. We were also grateful that our room didn’t have traces of animal hair in the bedding or carpet. They had a nice, free breakfast every morning too.
The downfalls were that we tried to check in a couple of weeks prior to our first stay, and the man working the desk would not allow 4 of us in a double-bed room. Their website clearly states the maximum capacity for a double bed is 4; but they told us they could only allow 3, so we went to a different hotel. This time around, someone else wanted to pay for our room in advance; so they booked it for us and were told 4 people was acceptable. They told us the beds were queen size, but they’re actually full. The bathtub was very slippery and difficult to shower freely from having to hold on and keep your balance. They also wouldn’t allow us to bring any extra breakfast to our room; at other hotels we like to grab a few more items to eat later in the day, but Quality Inn doesn’t allow that.
Again, aside from the capacity discrepancy; all of the downfalls are minor that would not deter us from visiting again if need be. Upper management was very kind to us the day we checked out; they offered us to sit in the lobby while we waited for the rain to die down before leaving.
The standard room rate for a double is about $77, including tax.
