Prophet Arise Book ⑩

Aside from the Bible, I have only read about 4 books that caught my attention strong enough to read it to the end. Someone close to me attended John Eckhardt's church, and had told me about how God gave him a passion for Prophets; one reason being because they are the most misunderstood of the five-fold ministries, yet they carry some of the vastest range of benefits if they are accepted by the ones they're sent to.

Whether you're a prophet (in the five-fold office), you know someone who's a prophet, one was sent to you or you're just curious what they are and what they do; this book will do more than sum it up. John goes into extensive detail about pretty much every aspect of who they are, their characteristics, and their role in the body of Christ.

The entire book was my favorite; but there were two sections that stuck out. This list is simple, but profound, and often is not recognized because of lack of discernment.

And this is the 2nd section that stood out. This chapter covers the rewards that will be received by individuals or church leaders if they accept the prophet God sends. Encouragement, conviction, hope, confirmation, impartation, early warnings, preservation and protection, a call to a higher place, growth, foresight, discerning of times and seasons, purification, successful negotiation with God, ministry of the Word and prayer, instruction, uncovering of root problems, sensitivity to the spirit of God, exposing the plans of the enemy, oasis; refreshment and rest, miracles, prosperity, life, and prophetic blessings. Their words are valuable like gold and silver to God.

Needless to say, it is not pretty when anyone rejects the prophet because in essence they are rejecting the Lord. This book will likely either spark your excitement or severely offend you. But if you're ever curious about going deeper into spiritual matters of God and His gifts to the body of Christ; Prophet Arise will take you to a new level. There were a couple places where personal opinion is mentioned versus truth, but for the most part, there were no bones to spit out and that is rare!
